FlyArystan Expands Its International Network to 25 Destinations: What It Means for Business Travel

From June through the end of October 2026, FlyArystan is operating flights on 25 international routes across seven countries. This year alone, the carrier has launched flights to Xi’an, Urumqi, Batumi, Alanya, Samarkand, Urgench, and Issyk-Kul.

The network expansion goes hand in hand with an international brand campaign: the airline is promoting Kazakhstan in the markets of China, the UAE, the Middle East, Central Asia, and the Caucasus. “Every new international flight helps develop inbound tourism and strengthen business and cultural ties,” notes FlyArystan President Johan Eidhagen. The initiative supports the Air Astana Group’s Going Global strategy, Inbusiness.kz reports.

What this means for travel managers

1. China without connections. Direct flights to Xi’an and Urumqi meet the growing demand for business trips to Chinese suppliers — previously, reaching these cities required a connection and cost a full working day.

2. Uzbekistan is getting closer. Samarkand and Urgench are not just about tourism: business activity between Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan is growing, and a direct flight saves both time and budget.

3. Keep the low-cost carrier model in mind. The basic fare does not include baggage or a free ticket change. For business travel, budget for a fare that allows changes: rescheduling a meeting will cost less than a new ticket.
