In general

These rules govern privacy matters in relation to the personal information of clients of Internet Turizm LLP (hereinafter — Internet Turizm). In this document we explain what information about you we keep, how and when we collect, use, process and safeguard it.

Internet Turizm does not share your personal information with third parties without your prior consent. The exceptions: when this is needed to process your order, to provide our services to you, and when there are legal and statutory obligations.

This document may change at any time without prior notice — where there is an operational need or where required by law.

How this policy applies

The Internet Turizm privacy policy applies to all personal information about you that we collect, use and process while interacting with you. This includes: visiting and using our websites and web apps, communicating with our staff, ordering and arranging our services through third parties such as sub-agents. And any other way of contacting us.

The Internet Turizm website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for their privacy policies. Our Privacy Policy applies only to the information that we collect. We recommend reviewing the privacy policy of every website that collects and uses any personal information about you.

How this works under the law

Internet Turizm — which collects, uses and processes your personal data on the basis of this document — is considered a “controller” of personal information under the law of the Republic of Kazakhstan on personal data protection (No. 94-V of 21 May 2013, amended and revised on 28 December 2017). When you book a ticket, your data is also collected and processed by airlines. They, as well as other service providers, act as separate “data controllers”. Their privacy policies may differ from ours and should be requested directly from those providers.

What we collect about you

Internet Turizm collects, processes and uses your personal information in order to provide the services you request, as well as to improve their quality — this may be done by offering you a suitable product through a particular communication channel.

The data we may collect:

— Personal details: full name, gender, date of birth, citizenship, country of residence, passport number and the number of any other identity document, visa information, photographs, as well as video and audio materials.

— Contact information: address, phone number, email address, company name, company address.

— Payment information: credit or debit card details, including the cardholder’s name, card number, issuing bank, billing address and expiry date. We may also deal directly with passengers and their data where you buy tickets for someone else.

— Trip information: flight details, the channel you used to search for and book the ticket (website, web app, etc.), seat selection and other services.

— Health information: medical records and special requests.

— Technical information: IP address, MAC address, browser type, operating system, the website you came from, browser behaviour and web app usage. Also data generated when you open a newsletter from us or click a link in it. With your permission we may also obtain your location data and access to certain data on your devices — photographs, for example.

— Interaction information: your feedback and communication with our company through any channel.

— Employment information: for corporate clients we get access to data on employees’ positions, information about them, and details of any flight paid for by the employer.

— Statistical information: the number of clients, website usage data, the website you came to us from, information about banner advertising online, your searches in search engines, the content you view on our websites.

If some of the information listed above is not provided, Internet Turizm will not be able to provide services to you or to tell you about our projects, news and products. You will also not be able to take part in our contests, promotions and events.

For particular services or events we may collect other types of data and use them for purposes other than those stated in this privacy policy. We notify you about those separately.

You may ask us to change or delete your personal information from our database, provided that your request does not conflict with the law, by sending a written request and attaching a copy of your identity document. To do this, write to [email protected].

How we collect information

Internet Turizm collects personal information about you when or if you:

— search for, book or buy tickets or other products and services on our websites or in our web apps;

— subscribe to our newsletters and other notifications, allow push notifications and in-app notifications in our web apps;

— take part in our contests and promotions;

— use our websites and web apps;

— contact our support team;

— fill in our surveys;

— interact with us or give feedback in any way, including our pages on social networks such as Facebook, Instagram, VKontakte, Telegram, Twitter;

— send us a job application.

Third parties we may receive information from

In addition to collecting your personal information ourselves, we may collect information about you from third parties. These may be:

— people who book, update booking information or otherwise interact with us on your behalf: your family members, travel agents or air ticket sales agents, your employer or another company representative with access to corporate bookings;

— our service providers: agencies, data analytics and market research providers, ticket sales agencies, providers handling payments and fraud protection;

— people who run contests and other promotions on our behalf or for whom we act as a sponsor;

— companies that make your trip possible: airlines, airport operators, immigration services, customs, border security services and others;

— our partners: carriers, insurance companies and others.

Why we need this information

Internet Turizm collects, processes and uses personal information in order to provide our services and improve their quality. We collect it provided that we have a legal basis, contractual obligations and/or your consent to its collection and processing.

This information is needed in order to:

— enter into a contract with you, including providing you with payment processing services (creating a booking and sending you a confirmation), technical support, help with payments, sending SMS notifications or other flight-related messages. And also to process your requests and enquiries;

— provide information on baggage carriage;

— run contests and promotions you may take part in, and notify you if you win;

— advertise our products and services to you, as well as the products and services of our partners;

— contact you to run surveys about products, services and overall satisfaction;

— improve our products and services through analytics and research;

— comply with legal requirements.

When booking an air ticket on behalf of another person, you must obtain that person’s permission to use their personal information.

Who we may share information with

We do not sell personal information about you. We may share this information with certain third parties, which include:

— airlines and other carriers;

— airport operators;

— law enforcement bodies, regulators and governments worldwide, as well as their service providers who ensure security, in order to comply with our legal obligations;

— travel agencies involved in arranging your trip;

— our partners providing services to you. For example, insurance companies;

— companies that carry out market research and analysis;

— companies providing marketing services and running client surveys on our behalf;

— companies providing information technology services, such as airline-related systems, data storage, mailing services, passenger booking and processing systems, communication networks, software and systems development, maintenance and support, as well as information processing, analysis and reporting;

— companies providing services for investigating complaints or incidents, the police and regulators, in order to protect our rights, property or the safety of our clients, employees and assets;

— your employers and other staff with access to corporate and group bookings;

— law firms and courts, for the purpose of enforcing any contract with you.

How we store your personal information

Internet Turizm stores your personal information in electronic files, using the services of information systems providers who may have access to your personal information.

We will keep your personal information for as long as it is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, in the legal or business interests of our company, or as required by applicable law.

How we protect your personal information

Internet Turizm takes the necessary technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorised access, disclosure, destruction or alteration. We grant access to personal data only to those employees who need it for their work and for providing and improving our products and services. These people are contractually required to maintain confidentiality.

Cookie policy

By using the www.fbt.kz website and our web apps, you agree that we may place cookies on your device, store and access cookies and IP addresses, and use other methods to collect website usage data in order to improve your experience of using the website.

The data may include information about your use of the website, the browser and type of device you access it from, and your location.

A cookie is a small piece of information sent from the website you visit, or from certain emails you open, and temporarily stored in your web browser or on your device’s hard drive. The browser returns the cookie to the server the next time you return to the page.

Internet Turizm uses cookies to collect information about how visitors use our site, to remember a visitor’s preferences — for example, their choice of cities — and to profile visitors for retargeting or remarketing purposes.

You can block cookies in your browser if the program allows it. But if you block all cookies, you will not be able to access the whole site or some parts of it. Until you change your browser settings so that cookies are not collected, our system will continue to issue cookies as soon as you visit our website. Disabling or deleting cookies will not prevent device identification and the collection of the related data.

Links to other sites

The Internet Turizm website may contain links to other websites. We are not responsible for those websites and cannot control their privacy policies in relation to your personal data.

Minors

Internet Turizm cannot determine the age of the people who access our website and our web apps. If you are the parent or guardian of a minor who has provided personal data without your knowledge and consent, you can contact us at [email protected] to have it deleted.

Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and Yandex Metrica

The Internet Turizm website uses Google Analytics, Facebook Pixel and Yandex Metrica — web analytics services provided by Google, Inc., Facebook and Yandex LLC respectively. These services use cookies to track and analyse your use of www.fbt.kz and to produce reports. The IP addresses collected by Google Analytics are anonymous. For more information, please review the privacy policies of Google, Facebook and Yandex.

To block these services, use the relevant link for the service you need: Google Analytics, Yandex Metrica. Opt-outs work on a cookie basis, so you may need to opt out again if you use a new device. You can read more about Facebook Pixel on Facebook’s website.
