From Kazakhstan, Air Arabia flies nonstop only between Almaty and Sharjah, about seven times a week in each direction. From Sharjah the airline flies to Colombo, Bangkok, Kuala Lumpur and Istanbul, so you can reach these cities with a connection. The schedule changes by season, and current flights show up in the Freedom Travel search.

Enter the cities, the date and the number of passengers in the search form, pick an Air Arabia flight among the results and pay online. The ticket arrives at the email address you give at checkout.

All fares include a cabin bag up to 7 kg and 55×40×20 cm and a personal item up to 3 kg (25×33×20 cm). With Basic, checked baggage is bought separately, while on flights via the UAE Value includes 20 or 30 kg and Ultimate 30 or 40 kg, depending on the route. One piece can weigh up to 32 kg and measure up to 158 cm in total. It is better to add baggage in advance, as the options at the airport are limited.

Online check-in on the Air Arabia website and app opens 48 hours before departure. It is available at most airports in the network but not all of them: if your airport is not listed, check in at the desk. Desks open 3 hours before departure and close 1 hour before. Passengers with checked bags drop them at a separate desk after checking in online.

It depends on the fare. With Basic, a ticket can be changed once for a fee up to 24 hours before departure, and money is not refunded on cancellation: the remaining value is kept as credit for a year. Value allows one free change up to 24 hours before, and Ultimate two changes up to 8 hours before plus free cancellation to credit. Refunds to the card with Value and Ultimate carry a fee. For tickets bought on Freedom Travel, use the Refund or exchange section of the website.

With Basic, meals are paid: food and drinks can be bought on board at Sky Café or pre-ordered on the website or in the app. The pre-order menu is wider and must be booked no later than 12 hours before departure. On most routes Value includes a sandwich and water, and Ultimate a hot meal.

Air Arabia flights from Almaty land at Sharjah International Airport (SHJ), the airline's main hub, and the flight takes about 4.5 hours. To connect to another Air Arabia flight, go to the transfer desk in the terminal; Air Arabia is not responsible for connections with other airlines. City check-in works in Sharjah, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Ajman and Ras Al Khaimah, where you can get a boarding pass as early as 36 hours before departure.
