The airline at a glance

FlyArystan is a Kazakh low-cost airline wholly owned by Air Astana. It operated its first flight on 1 May 2019 and has flown under its own code FS since 2025. Its bases are Almaty, Astana and Aktau. The network covers about 40 routes across Kazakhstan and to neighbouring countries, including Uzbekistan, China, Georgia, Armenia, Turkey and the UAE. All seats are economy: checked baggage can be added or bought as part of a bundle, and meals on board are paid.

  • Cabin bag and baggage

    One free cabin bag up to 7 kg and 56×23×36 cm is allowed, and a handbag or laptop must fit inside it. Checked baggage of 20 or 32 kg comes with the Comfort and Comfort Plus bundles or can be bought separately.

  • Flight check-in

    Online check-in is free and opens 30 days before departure, or 72 hours for China and 24 hours for Turkey. It closes 40 minutes before domestic flights and 60 minutes before international ones.

  • Changes and refunds

    With the Lowest fare, date changes and cancellations cost a fee. Flexi allows free date changes (you pay only the fare difference), and refunds go to your card minus a fee. Changes are possible up to 2 hours before domestic and 3 hours before international flights.

  • Meals on board

    Meals on FlyArystan are paid: food and drinks are bought on board from the Arystan Café menu. You can also pre-order meals when booking or in Manage Booking, no later than 24 hours before departure.

  • Fares and bundles

    Tickets are sold in the Lowest and Flexi fares, and all seats are economy. You can add a Standard Plus, Comfort or Comfort Plus bundle with seat selection, a larger cabin bag or 20–32 kg of checked baggage.

  • Mobile app

    The FlyArystan app for iOS, Android and Huawei lets you buy tickets, check in online for free and keep your boarding pass. You can also change the date, request a refund and add baggage, a seat or a meal there.

  • FlyArystan flies within Kazakhstan and to neighbouring countries. Popular nonstop routes include Astana–Almaty, Shymkent–Astana, Almaty–Shymkent, Almaty–Aktau and Astana–Kyzylorda. The schedule changes by season, and current flights show up in the Freedom Travel search.

  • Enter the cities, the date and the number of passengers in the search form, pick a FlyArystan flight among the results and pay online. The ticket arrives at the email address you give at checkout.

  • One free cabin bag up to 7 kg and no larger than 56×23×36 cm is allowed, and a handbag or laptop must fit inside it. Checked baggage is not included in the basic ticket: buy it separately or choose the Comfort (20 kg) or Comfort Plus (32 kg) bundle. Each checked bag can weigh up to 32 kg and measure up to 158 cm in total. Check the exact terms when booking.

  • FlyArystan is Air Astana's low-cost subsidiary with its own code FS. Unlike Air Astana, it offers economy only, and baggage, seat selection and meals are paid separately or come in bundles. Air Astana sells some FlyArystan flights under its KC code, but they are operated by FlyArystan.
