  • Baggage allowance

    A cabin bag up to 10 kg (55×40×25 cm) is included in all fares. Checked baggage: Light has none, Optimum includes 1 bag up to 23 kg and Flexible 2 bags of 23 kg. Business Optimum includes 2 checked bags of 23 kg and 2 cabin bags of 10 kg.

  • Flight check-in

    Online check-in opens 24 hours before departure and closes 2 hours before domestic and 3 hours before international flights. Check-in and baggage drop desks close 40 minutes before domestic and 60 minutes before international flights.

  • Changes and refunds

    Light is non-refundable and can be changed for a fee. Optimum can be changed and refunded with a fee. Flexible can be changed or refunded free more than 90 minutes before a domestic flight or 180 minutes before an international one. The YR charge is not refundable.

  • Travelling with pets

    SCAT carries pets only as checked baggage in the hold. Carriage must be agreed with the airline in advance, and the weight of the pet with its cage is paid separately. Online check-in is not available for passengers travelling with animals.

  • Fares and classes

    In economy SCAT sells Light, Optimum and Flexible fares, and in business class the Business Optimum fare. The fares differ in baggage allowance and in change and refund terms, and the availability of business class depends on the flight.

  • Mobile app

    In the SCAT Airlines app for iOS and Android you can buy tickets, check in online, choose a seat, add baggage or an upgrade and check your flight status. You can also change your booking there.

  • SCAT flies within Kazakhstan and abroad. Its most frequent routes are Shymkent–Astana, Almaty–Astana and Almaty–Shymkent. From Almaty and Astana it flies to Moscow (Vnukovo airport), and from Shymkent to Istanbul. The schedule changes by season, and current flights show up in the Freedom Travel search.

  • Online check-in for SCAT flights opens 24 hours before departure. It closes 2 hours before domestic flights and 3 hours before international ones. If you have no checked baggage, after online check-in you need to be in the departure hall at least 30 minutes before a domestic flight and 60 minutes before an international one.

  • Yes, except refunds on the Light fare: such a ticket can only be changed for a fee. Optimum and Business Optimum can be changed and refunded with a fee. Flexible can be changed or refunded free of charge more than 90 minutes before a domestic flight or 180 minutes before an international one. The YR charge is not refundable.
