The allowance depends on the fare. In Economy, Basic includes only an 8 kg cabin bag, Classic adds 1 checked bag up to 23 kg and Plus adds 2. Business Class includes 2 checked bags of 32 kg each. Exact terms are in the fare rules.
Online check-in on the Air Astana website and app opens 36 hours and closes 1 hour before departure. Airport check-in desks close 40 minutes before departure, or 60 minutes at some airports abroad.
Terms depend on the fare. Basic is non-refundable and changes cost a fee; Classic can be refunded with a fee; Plus and Business Flex can be refunded or changed without a fee. A fare difference may apply when you change a ticket.
Air Astana serves complimentary meals and drinks on its flights, with the menu depending on the time of day and flight length. No pork is used. Special meals must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure.
Nomad Club is Air Astana's loyalty programme. Nomad points are earned on flights and with partners and can be spent on tickets and upgrades. Promotional fares do not earn points. The tiers are Blue, Silver, Gold and Diamond.
In the Air Astana app (App Store, Google Play, AppGallery) you can check in online and open your boarding pass. Tickets bought elsewhere can also be added to My Trips, and push notifications tell you about gate changes.
