The airline at a glance

British Airways is a British airline formed in 1974 by the merger of BOAC and BEA, and it is now part of the IAG group. Its main hub is Terminal 5 at London Heathrow, and some flights operate from Gatwick and London City. The airline serves around 200 destinations in more than 75 countries and has a fleet of more than 280 aircraft. In 1999 British Airways became a founding member of the oneworld alliance. It has no nonstop flights from Kazakhstan: from London it flies to New York, Istanbul, Los Angeles and other cities.
