Etihad Airways currently has no nonstop flights from Kazakhstan: it flew to Almaty until 2016 and has cancelled its plans to return in 2026. From its hub in Abu Dhabi, Etihad serves more than 100 destinations, such as London, Bangkok, Paris, New York and Istanbul. It depends on the fare. In economy, Basic has no checked bag, Value includes 25 kg, Comfort 30 kg and Deluxe 40 kg; in business, Value includes 35 kg, Comfort 40 kg and Deluxe 50 kg. No single bag may weigh more than 32 kg. Economy cabin baggage is 1 bag up to 7 kg and 56×36×23 cm, and business allows 2 bags up to 12 kg in total. On flights to and from the US, Canada, Tunisia and Morocco the allowance is counted in pieces.

Online check-in on the Etihad website and app opens 30 hours and closes 1 hour before departure. You can keep your boarding pass in the app, but digital boarding passes are not accepted at every airport. If you have requested special assistance or are flying with a partner airline, online check-in may not be available, so check in at the airport desk.

It depends on the fare. Basic tickets cannot be changed or refunded. Value can be changed for a fee but not refunded, Comfort can be changed and refunded for a fee, and Deluxe changes and refunds are free, in both economy and business. Tickets bought through an agency are changed and refunded through that agency. For tickets bought on Freedom Travel, use the Refund or exchange section of the website.

Yes, Etihad serves complimentary meals and snacks in economy, and all food on board is prepared to halal standards. Special meals, such as vegetarian, child, dietary or religious meals, must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure, and kosher meals 72 hours before. On flights shorter than 2 hours 50 minutes the choice is limited and child meals are not offered.

The minimum connection time between Etihad flights at Zayed International Airport is 45 minutes, or 85 minutes for flights to the US. Getting to the next departure gate, including transfer screening, usually takes about 15 minutes. You only need a visa if you want to leave the airport and explore Abu Dhabi, and a transit visa can be requested on the Etihad website.
