Important information

  • Baggage allowance

Allowances depend on the fare and route. On flights between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, cabin baggage is one 8 kg piece, or two in Business. Standard includes no checked bag, Optimum one piece up to 23 kg and Business two 32 kg pieces. Exact rules are in the fare conditions.

  • Flight check-in

Airport check-in desks open at least 3 hours before departure and close 60 minutes before it. Online check-in is available on the airline's website, where a seat can be chosen from 24 hours up to 2 hours before departure.

  • Changes and refunds

Business and Flex fares are refundable, while Optimum and Standard are non-refundable on most routes. A fee may apply under the fare rules if you cancel voluntarily. Tickets bought on the airline's website are refunded via the call centre, others where they were bought.

  • Meals on board

Economy passengers get a cold meal on flights of up to 2 hours and a hot dish on longer ones, plus soft drinks, tea and coffee. Infant meals must be ordered at least 48 hours before departure, other special meals 24 hours ahead at no extra charge.

  • Fares and classes

Tickets are sold in four fares: Standard, Optimum and Flex in Economy, plus Business. They differ in baggage, refundability and seat selection, which is included in Flex and Business. The airline's website does not describe a loyalty programme.

  • Mobile app

The airline's website does not mention a mobile app (as of October 2026). Tickets, seat selection, extra baggage and pet transport are arranged on the website, which also has a live flight board, and news is posted in the Qanot Sharq Telegram channel.

  • From Kazakhstan, Qanot Sharq flies nonstop from Almaty to Tashkent: in October 2026, twice a week, on Mondays and Thursdays. From Tashkent the airline flies to Istanbul, Moscow and Seoul. The schedule changes by season, and current flights show up in the Freedom Travel search.

  • Enter the cities, the date and the number of passengers in the search form, pick a Qanot Sharq flight among the results and pay online. The ticket arrives at the email address you give at checkout.

  • The allowance depends on the fare and route. On flights between Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan, every fare includes one cabin bag up to 8 kg, and Business includes two. Checked baggage is not included in Standard, Optimum includes one piece up to 23 kg, and Business two pieces of 32 kg. In addition, you may bring a handbag or a laptop backpack weighing up to 2 kg free of charge.

  • Online check-in is available in the flight check-in section of the airline's website, and a seat can be chosen there between 24 and 2 hours before departure. If you have not printed your boarding pass, you can get it at the check-in desk at the departure airport.

  • It depends on the fare: Business and Flex are refundable, Optimum and Standard are non-refundable on most routes, and a fee may apply if you cancel voluntarily. A ticket is refunded without fees if the passenger or a close relative travelling with them suddenly falls ill, with a medical certificate, provided the request is made at least 40 minutes before departure. For tickets bought on Freedom Travel, use the Refund or exchange section of the website.
