  • Baggage allowance

    The allowance depends on the fare. On most routes, including Kazakhstan, it is counted by weight: Economy Lite 20 kg, Classic 25 kg, Convenience 30 kg, Comfort 35 kg and business class 40 kg. Economy cabin baggage is 1 piece up to 7 kg.

  • Flight check-in

    Online check-in on the website and app opens 48 hours and closes 90 minutes before departure; for flights to and from the USA it opens 24 hours before. You can add the boarding pass to your Wallet and create a digital bag tag with BAGTAG in the app.

  • Changes and refunds

    The terms depend on the fare. Economy Lite tickets cannot be changed or refunded. Classic allows changes for a fee, Convenience includes one free change, and Comfort has the most flexible terms. The exact rules are shown in the fare conditions at booking.

  • Meals on board

    Economy Class serves dishes from cuisines around the world made with fresh ingredients, and you can preview the menu before you fly. Special meals, such as vegetarian, child, dietary or religious meals, must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure.

  • Privilege Club programme

    Privilege Club is the Qatar Airways loyalty programme. Avios are earned on flights of Qatar Airways, oneworld airlines and other partners and can be spent on award tickets and upgrades. The Burgundy, Silver, Gold and Platinum tiers depend on Qpoints.

  • Mobile app

    The Qatar Airways app for iOS, Android and Huawei lets you book and change trips, check in and get a digital boarding pass, choose a seat, create a BAGTAG digital bag tag and track your bags.

  • From Kazakhstan, Qatar Airways flies daily nonstop from Almaty to Doha. From Doha you can connect to more than 170 destinations, such as London, New York, Barcelona and Bangkok. The schedule changes by season, and current flights show up in the Freedom Travel search.

  • Yes. Economy Class serves dishes from cuisines around the world, prepared by the airline's chefs with fresh ingredients, and you can preview the menu before you fly. A children's lunch box is ordered through Manage Booking. Special meals, such as vegetarian, vegan, diabetic, gluten-free or kosher, must be ordered at least 24 hours before departure.

  • Qatar Airways has been a member of oneworld since 2013. Privilege Club members also earn Avios on flights of oneworld airlines and other partners. Privilege Club tiers match oneworld statuses: Silver is Ruby, Gold is Sapphire and Platinum is Emerald. Connections on Qatar Airways flights are made at its hub, Hamad International Airport in Doha.

  • For Kazakhstan, the Qatar Airways website lists the contact centre numbers +995 706 777 992, +994 12 404 89 01 and +974 4023 0000. The contact centre works Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 20:00, and service in English is available around the clock. Requests about bookings, refunds and flight changes are also accepted through forms in the help section of the airline's website.
