Somon Air is an airline from Tajikistan that operated its first flight, from Dushanbe to Moscow, in February 2008. Its base is Dushanbe International Airport (DYU), its fleet consists of Boeing 737 aircraft, and in August 2026 it received its first Boeing 737 MAX 8. Somon Air is not part of a global alliance, has been an IATA member since 2017 and, according to the airline, serves 25 destinations. From Kazakhstan, Somon Air flies to Dushanbe from Almaty and Astana.

  • Baggage allowance

    In Somon Air Economy the allowance is 20 kg of checked baggage and 7 kg of cabin baggage, as listed for flights to Astana and Moscow. Cabin baggage is one piece up to 55×40×25 cm. 1PC on the ticket means one checked bag, and extra baggage can be paid for at the airport.

  • Flight check-in

    Check-in opens 2 hours 30 minutes and closes 40 minutes before departure, and for flights to Istanbul, Jeddah and Dubai 3 hours and 60 minutes before. Online check-in is available on the website and in the app with your surname in Latin letters and your ticket number.

  • Changes and refunds

    The refund amount depends on the conditions of the fare the ticket was issued on. Money goes back only to the card used for payment, within up to 20 working days. Tickets are refunded or changed where they were bought, and a date change may require paying the fare difference.

  • Flying with children

    An adult passenger can get a free ticket for one child under 2 without a separate seat, and a pushchair is carried free of charge. Children aged 8 to 16 can fly without an accompanying adult on domestic and international flights.

  • Travel classes

    Somon Air sells tickets in Economy and Business. Business has a higher allowance: 10 kg of cabin baggage and 30 kg of checked baggage instead of 7 and 20 kg in Economy. The airline's website describes no loyalty programme, and ticket terms depend on the fare.

  • Mobile app

    The Somon Air app is available on the App Store and Google Play. It lets you buy a ticket by booking a flight and having it issued, and check in online with your surname in Latin letters and your ticket number. The app works in Russian and English.
