Until recently, there were no direct flights in the Astana — Sharm El Sheikh direction. Currently, there are several flight options: direct, with layovers, and charter. The most economical, despite the time it takes, is with a layover in Istanbul. The charter is available only at the height of the season, and tickets for it are purchased through a travel company.

The famous resort of Sharm El Sheikh stretches along the western coast of Egyptian Aqaba. Locals call it the sheikh's bay.
